The Model 47 was manufactured by Winchester from 1948 to 1954. It was Winchester's inaugural postwar single-shot .22 rifle design. This affordable bolt-action rifle was compatible with .22 short, long, and long rifle ammunition. It was equipped with a side-lever safety that would engage automatically when the bolt was opened.
