The Winchester 70 Classic Stainless is a bolt-action rifle that is perfect for hunting in any weather conditions. It features a weather-resistant stainless steel floorplate, barrel, action, and internal components, making it tough and rugged. The composite stock is designed in a traditional sporter style and is able to withstand extreme temperatures without affecting accuracy. The Classic Stainless, Controlled Round Feed actions include a claw extractor and a reliable, fixed ejector. You can choose from several hard-hitting long-action calibers. The rifle also utilizes Browning’s Ballistic Optimising Shooting System (BOSS) barrel tuning system for greater accuracy and control.

Manufactured between 1995 and 98, this rifle has a pre-64 Model 70 type action, sightless barrel with BOSS, and a solid Winchester recoil pad. It has a steel receiver, one-piece bolt, two forward-locking lugs, a Mauser-type claw extractor, and a 3-position wing-type safety.
