Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Among the Sioux, Chief Crazy Horse is regarded as a heroic and lonely leader. Known for his defeat of Custer at Little Big Horn, Chief Crazy Horse was a man of action, courage, honesty, and wisdom. His enemies feared him for his fierce, defiant leadership, even after his surrender. In 1878, Chief Crazy Horse threw three Winchester rifles to the ground to signify his surrender.
