The Winchester 190 is a semiautomatic .22LR rifle with three variations. The standard rifle had a 24-inch barrel, while the carbine version had a 20 1/2 inch barrel similar to the Model 150. Later in its production, a Monte Carlo stocked Model 190 (called the 290) was introduced. By the end of its production in 1980, approximately 2,150,000 Winchester 190 rifles were manufactured. The Winchester Model 190 semi-automatic .22 rimfire rifle was produced from 1967 to 1980. It was essentially a variant of the Model 290, which was first introduced in 1965 but did not include the 290’s select Monte Carlo stock. Model 190s were available in both rifle and carbine configurations.
