Machine every major part from solid steel to exacting standards. Engineer a trigger system that's sharp, crisp and reliable, polish and blue it, and set it in a machined steel housing. No complicated takedown problems- pull one pin and the entire trigger assembly is exposed for cleaning. Make the barrel and barrel extentions of high strength chrome molybdenum steel. Design a low recoil gas system with simple, incredibly strong piston rod; no fragile slide bars. How do you get this kind of fast pointability? Balance the weight between the hands, like the Model 12 and keep the barrel light for easy, sure swinging. The stock and forearm are of traditional American walnut with deep, real-cut checkering. A new high gloss finish is functional and enhances the appearance. Strength, balance, and performance are what the Super-X Model 1 is all about.
