The Japanese Arisaka Type 2 was made between 1942-1945 and is a take-down rifle which was an innovative design intended for use by paratroopers. It incorporated a simple but had a very strong joint between the barrel and the receiver, allowing the rifle to be broken down into two short sections. This makes the overall size of the package very convenient. Aside from the take-down feature, the rifle is identical to the Type 99 short rifle.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Arisaka is in Incredible condition for its age showing no evidence of excessive consumer use or handling over the years that we can see!
