The Sphinx SDP Subcompact is a premium Swiss-designed 9×19mm semi-automatic pistol created as the smallest member of the Special Duty Pistol (SDP) family, known for its precision engineering, hybrid frame construction, and refined shooting characteristics. Originally produced by Sphinx Systems and later marketed internationally through KRISS USA, the Subcompact was built with a distinctive two-part frame consisting of a hard-anodized aluminum upper section and a polymer lower grip module, paired with a solid steel slide treated with a durable TIALN coating for wear resistance. Chambered in 9mm and operating with a traditional double-action/single-action trigger system, it typically features ambidextrous decocking levers, a reversible magazine release, and fixed white-dot sights, reflecting its intended role as a high-quality defensive carry pistol.
