Item Description
Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this highly collectible and RARE single-action revolver "kit gun" for a penny-start auction; this is the Sporting Arms Inc. Seville.
The “kit gun” designation most likely indicates a “Qwik-Kit model,” originally sold as a home-assembly kit, or a loose frame and parts drawn from remaining factory inventory after production came to an end. These examples were never fully completed at the factory, making them representative of a short-lived and uncommon offering that reflects the company’s final production period and experimental approach to distribution.
This example belongs to an exceptionally rare and long-discontinued three-piece set of single-action Sporting Arms Inc. Seville revolvers, distinguished by early, unique serial numbers and preserved in desirable new-old-stock condition, making it a standout opportunity for advanced collectors.
Don't forget to bid on the unique serial-numbered sisters so this set can stay together for future generations of collectors!!! Type item numbers below into the search bar or click on "sellers' other items."
This example sports the serial number (#PPM-0002), and the matching pairs in the other auctions bear the serial numbers (#P-0001) and (#PPM-0001)!

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
United Sporting Arms, Inc. traces its lineage to 1972 with the introduction of the Abilene, a single-action revolver prototype built by Sig Himmelman under United States Arms in Riverhead, New York. This early design laid the groundwork for what would become the Seville and El Dorado lines, formally established in 1976 when Himmelman and Forrest Smith reorganized as United Sporting Arms in Hauppauge, New York. From this facility came the blued Seville and the stainless El Dorado, the latter achieving historical significance as the first all-stainless .44 Magnum offered to the general public. Meanwhile, United States Arms continued producing the Abilene until Mossberg acquired the line in 1979, relocating production to New Haven, Connecticut, where it ultimately ceased in 1983. During this period, United Sporting Arms also experimented with western assembly operations in Tombstone and Bisbee, Arizona, producing limited-quantity variants such as the distinctive Silver Seville.

By 1980, the company fractured again into two independent entities: El Dorado Arms in New York, which focused primarily on stainless .44 Magnum revolvers, and Sporting Arms Inc. in Tucson, Arizona, which broadened the Seville platform into new and powerful chamberings. Notable among these was the stretch-frame Seville in .357 Maximum introduced in 1982, along with rare experimental calibers such as the .375 Super Mag. Despite creative expansion and the production of highly specialized revolvers—including silhouette guns, Sheriff’s models, and large-caliber variants—financial instability led to repeated closures. A brief 1986 revival in Post Falls, Idaho, produced roughly 200 revolvers of comparatively lower quality before a final and more successful resurrection in 1988. Under Forrest Smith and Russell Wood, El Dorado Arms was reestablished in Chimney Rock, North Carolina, where from 1988 to 1998 it produced low-volume, hand-fitted single-action revolvers of notably high quality, securing the Seville and El Dorado names a lasting reputation among discerning collectors.
