The Taurus Model 94 is a compact, small-frame double-action/single-action rimfire revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle, designed to offer high capacity, low recoil, and practical versatility in a lightweight defensive or trail-gun format. Built on Taurus’s small steel frame, the Model 94 in this configuration features a 3-inch barrel, which provides a longer sight radius and improved ballistic performance over the snub-nose variants while still remaining compact enough for easy carry. Its standout characteristic is the 9-round swing-out cylinder, giving it unusually high capacity for a revolver of its size — a feature that makes it appealing for plinking, small-game use, training, or as a low-recoil defensive option. The revolver operates in traditional DA/SA fashion, allowing deliberate single-action shots with a lighter trigger pull or rapid double-action fire. Like many rimfire revolvers, the double-action pull tends to be heavier to ensure reliable rimfire ignition. Most examples feature fixed sights with a serrated front ramp and integral rear notch, and depending on production year, may be found in blued or stainless finishes, often fitted with rubber or compact wood grips for improved control. Taurus incorporates its transfer bar safety system, which prevents the hammer from striking the firing pin unless the trigger is fully depressed, allowing safe carry with all nine chambers loaded. Any orders placed with magazines that are not compliant with your state, county, or city regulations will not ship with your order.
