Around 1998, Texas Trophy Hunters Association partnered with America Remembers to produce a limited run of 250 commemorative Winchester Model 94 rifles honoring Texas whitetail hunting and featuring artwork by Don Keller. These rifles showcased Keller’s renowned paintings “The Genetic Pool” and “El Jefe,” richly embellished in 24-karat gold and nickel with a darkened background to highlight detail, along with laser-carved stock artwork and TTHA insignia. Chambered in .30-30 and based on the classic Model 94 platform, the tribute rifles quickly sold out, becoming a closed-issue collector series tied closely to Texas hunting heritage and Keller’s celebrated wildlife art.
