Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Winchester Model 67 is a single-shot, bolt-action .22-caliber rimfire rifle introduced by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1934 as a simple, reliable, and affordable rifle for training and small-game shooting. The original Model 67 was produced from 1934 to 1949, after which an updated version, the Model 67A, was produced until the end of production in 1963. It came chambered to fire .22 Short, .22 Long, or .22 Long Rifle cartridges interchangeably, and .22 Winchester Rimfire (WRF) was introduced as an additional chambering sometime in the mid- to late 1930s. The Model 67 was offered in several factory variants, including the Sporting Rifle (standard 27" barrel), the Smoothbore Rifle (27" smoothbore for .22 shot), the Junior or Boy’s Rifle (20" barrel with shorter stock), and the Miniature Target bore Rifle (24" barrel with simplified sights for clay target use). The Model 67 features a plain walnut stock and a bolt-action that must be manually cocked after closing the bolt, with each round loaded singly into the chamber. Approximately 383,587 rifles were manufactured across both 67 and 67A production, and like many pre-1968 Winchester .22 rifles, they were not serial-numbered for U.S. domestic sales.
