The Winchester SX3 Waterfowl Hunter is a purpose-built semi-automatic designed to answer the exacting demands of modern duck and goose hunters by combining a reliable gas system, rugged weatherproofing, and user-focused ergonomics. Offered in 12- and 20-gauge with a 3" chamber (the 12ga was discontinued in 2016 while the 20ga continued with updated camo into 2017), the SX3 uses Winchester’s Active Valve gas system and Quadra-Vent ports to self-regulate across light target loads and heavy 3" magnums, venting excess gas to reduce fouling and keep cycling consistent in real-world, dirty-blind conditions.
