The ZEV Technologies OZ9 is the company’s first complete pistol, with everything built entirely from the ground up by ZEV. The OZ9 was designed and created for balance, which is one of the first things you notice when holding the pistol. Balance equates to what every shooter is looking for: a more controllable pistol with less felt recoil, reduced muzzle flip, and faster, more accurate follow-up shots. At the core of the OZ9 is ZEV’s patented steel receiver, which integrates the locking block and utilizes extended internal rails to provide more than double the slide-to-receiver contact area. This robust design improves stability, durability, and accuracy while distributing recoil energy evenly throughout the grip. Built around this steel foundation, the OZ9 features a ZEV-exclusive signature slide paired with a bronze ZEV match-grade barrel for reliable, repeatable precision. Additional benefits include channels that clear out debris while also acting as lubricating reservoirs for high-friction areas, helping maintain smooth operation and reliability during extended or hard use. A single take-down pin conveniently located at the front of the trigger guard locks the removable grip to the steel receiver. By design, the ZEV Pro flat-face trigger is housed in the steel receiver, allowing grip modules to be changed or upgraded without complete disassembly. Enhanced grip geometry places the shooter’s hand in a more natural, forward position for improved pointability and muzzle control, while the ZEV OZ9 Pro Plus magwell supports faster, more consistent reloads. Compatible with Glock magazines and ZEV components, the OZ9 was built as a modular platform designed to adapt and evolve, reflecting ZEV’s premium, purpose-driven approach to pistol design.
