Markings: Standard / The pistol features a "1915" date stamp on top of the receiver ring, a DWM monogram on top of the front toggle link, and the number "24" on top of the rear toggle link and the left receiver block. Additionally, the full serial number is stamped on the left side of the receiver ring, while the right side of the receiver features a row containing three crowned Gothic letters followed by an Imperial German Eagle.

Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken, the pistol is chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum and utilizes Georg Luger's innovative toggle-lock, short-recoil operating system, renowned for its precision engineering, superb accuracy, and distinctive appearance. Standard military configuration includes a 4-inch barrel, fixed sights, an 8-round detachable magazine, and finely machined all-steel construction with a rust-blued finish and straw-colored small parts on early examples.
