The Mitchell’s Mausers K98 represents a visually striking, commercially refurbished version of the legendary German Karabiner 98k, built upon one of the most respected bolt-action rifle systems ever engineered. Originally designed as Germany’s primary service rifle beginning in 1935, the K98k was chambered in 7.92×57mm Mauser (8mm Mauser) and featured a roughly 23.6-inch barrel, a five-round internal magazine loaded via stripper clips, and a tangent rear sight graduated for extended combat ranges.
