Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Savage Model 99 is a hammerless lever-action rifle produced by Savage Arms from 1899 to 1997, and it is widely considered one of the most innovative American sporting rifles ever made. It uses a rotary spool magazine instead of a tubular magazine, which allowed it to safely use pointed spitzer bullets long before most lever guns could, and it feeds from an internal 5-round rotating magazine with a mechanical round counter in many models. Chamberings ranged widely over its production life, including .303 Savage, .250-3000 Savage, .300 Savage, .308 Winchester, .243 Winchester, .22 Hi-Power, .30-30, .358 Winchester, and others, giving it a strong presence in both early 20th-century hunting and later modern cartridge development. The action is a solid-steel, takedown-capable lever system with a rotating bolt head, known for strength, smooth cycling, and a clean hammerless design.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3-day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
