Because early Model 94s utilized a strict top-ejection mechanism that flung empty brass straight up, mounting a scope required a specialized offset side-mount system (unless the rifle is a post-1982 "Angle Eject" model), making the addition of the Kassnar 4x32 scope a distinctive choice.
