The Winchester Model 70 Featherweight is one of the most iconic sporting rifles ever produced, offering the legendary strength and reliability of the Model 70 action in a lighter, more streamlined package designed for hunters who value portability without sacrificing performance. Manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms, the Featherweight was introduced in 1952 and quickly became a favorite among sportsmen for its excellent balance, graceful handling, and timeless styling. Featuring a slim-contour barrel, satin-finished walnut stock with the signature Schnabel fore-end, and finely polished blued steel, the Featherweight combines classic aesthetics with practical field performance. Depending on the production era, rifles feature either the highly collectible pre-1964 controlled-round-feed action with its Mauser-style claw extractor or the later push-feed design, while current production has returned to the controlled-round-feed system that made the Model 70 famous. Chambered in a wide variety of popular hunting calibers, the Featherweight is equally capable of pursuing whitetail deer, elk, antelope, and other North American game. 
 
Known as the "Rifleman's Rifle," the Model 70 Featherweight has earned its reputation through exceptional accuracy, smooth bolt operation, and dependable reliability under demanding hunting conditions.
