The Smith & Wesson Model 19 No Dash is one of the most iconic and historically significant K-frame revolvers ever produced, introduced in 1957 as the official model designation for what was previously known as the Combat Magnum. Designed in collaboration with legendary Border Patrol officer and firearms instructor Bill Jordan, the Model 19 was created to provide the power of the .357 Magnum cartridge in a more compact and practical revolver than Smith & Wesson’s larger N-frame models. The original No Dash versions were manufactured from 1957 until 1962, featuring the classic pre-MIM craftsmanship of Smith & Wesson, including forged internal parts, pinned barrel, recessed cylinder, traditional hammer-mounted firing pin, and fine hand-fitted action work. Available with barrel lengths including 2.5-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch, the Model 19 became highly regarded by law enforcement officers, detectives, plainclothes personnel, and civilian shooters for its balance, handling, and powerful chambering.
