The Tula Arms Plant Model B Improved is a Soviet-era side-by-side double-barrel shotgun produced by Tula Arms Plant, one of Russia’s oldest and most historically significant firearms manufacturers, and it represents an evolution of earlier Model B (TOZ-B) designs intended to improve durability, handling, and overall finish. Manufactured primarily in the mid-20th century, the “Improved” designation generally refers to refinements in lockwork, materials, and external fit and finish over the original Model B, resulting in a more robust and user-friendly sporting shotgun. Typically chambered in 12 gauge—though 16- and 20-gauge versions also exist—the Model B Improved features a break-action, side-by-side barrel configuration with double triggers, allowing the shooter to instantly select between barrels, each usually choked differently to produce varying shot patterns.
