Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Introduced in 1969 as a major redesign of Colt's mid-frame revolver line, the Trooper MK III introduced modern sintered steel lockwork, heavy-duty coil springs, and an integrated transfer bar safety mechanism to the classic Colt double-action architecture. Revered for its exceptional strength, smooth action, and outstanding lockup, the Trooper MK III quickly established itself as a premier service and target handgun. Outfitted with a 4-inch solid-rib barrel, target hammer, wide target trigger, and brilliant factory nickel finish, this mid-70s wheelgun combines target-grade shootability with classic Colt aesthetic elegance.
This specific example is an authentic 1975-manufactured Colt Trooper MK III bearing matching serial number 62158J across its frame crane and crane recess. Chambered in .357 Magnum (also accepting .38 Special ammunition), it features a 4-inch barrel, factory bright nickel finish, Accro adjustable rear sight, red ramp front sight, and checkered walnut target grips set with silver Colt medallions. A pristine piece for Snake Gun enthusiasts, 1970s Colt collectors, and classic American revolver connoisseurs.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3-day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
