Item Description
Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this limited-production lever-action rifle today for a penny-start auction, this is the Uberti / Western Arms Corp. Model 1866 “Justin Boots Company” Centennial Commemorative.
The Uberti / Western Arms Corp. 1866 “Justin Boots Company” Centennial commemorative rifle is a rare, limited-production lever-action rifle produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Justin Boots (1879–1979). Manufactured by A. Uberti in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, and imported through Western Arms Corporation of Santa Fe, New Mexico, it is a reproduction of the classic Winchester Model 1866 “Yellowboy” rifle and chambered in .44-40 Winchester. As part of the centennial release, these rifles were issued as part of a three-piece presentation set that included a matching 1873-style revolver and a belt buckle, all produced with matching serial numbers when issued as complete presentation sets. While originally tied to this presentation program, many surviving rifles, revolvers, and belt buckles are frequently encountered today as individual pieces, reflecting the separation of complete sets over time. Production was reported at approximately 750 sets, with distribution largely reserved for corporate and special presentation use rather than general retail sale, further enhancing its scarcity and collector interest. Today, it remains a highly distinctive commemorative firearm recognized for its connection to Justin Boots' heritage and its place within late-20th-century collectible firearm production.
