The Winchester Model 94 XTR Big Bore American Bald Eagle Commemorative is a highly distinctive lever-action rifle produced by Winchester Repeating Arms Company, combining the proven strength of the Big Bore Model 94 action with elaborate commemorative styling created to celebrate the American bald eagle and patriotic American heritage. Built during the later years of Winchester commemorative production, the rifle was based on the reinforced Big Bore variant of the legendary Model 94, a version specifically engineered to handle more powerful modern cartridges than the traditional .30-30 Winchester chamberings commonly associated with earlier Model 94 rifles. Depending on the exact configuration, many Big Bore rifles were chambered in cartridges such as .375 Winchester or .307 Winchester, giving the platform significantly greater power and hunting capability while retaining the fast-handling lever-action design that made the Model 94 famous.
