The Smith & Wesson Model 19-5, widely known as the Combat Magnum, is one of the most iconic double-action revolvers ever produced. Developed through the collaboration of legendary Border Patrol officer Bill Jordan and Smith & Wesson, the Model 19 was designed to combine the handling qualities of the K-frame with the power of the .357 Magnum cartridge. Chambered in .357 Magnum and also capable of firing .38 Special ammunition, the Model 19 quickly became a favorite among law enforcement officers, competitive shooters, and sportsmen for its outstanding balance, smooth trigger pull, and exceptional accuracy. The -5 engineering change represents one of the later versions of this classic revolver while preserving the craftsmanship and timeless styling that have made the Combat Magnum a cornerstone of Smith & Wesson's legacy.
 
This example features a richly blued finish, a 4-inch ribbed barrel, and factory hardwood target grips with distinctive finger grooves and inlaid Smith & Wesson medallions, providing both classic aesthetics and excellent shooting comfort. The red ramp front sight and fully adjustable white-outline square-notch rear sight deliver a highly visible sight picture, making the revolver well suited for target shooting, personal defense, and field use.
