First introduced in 1982 as the successor to Alexander Sturm and William B. Ruger’s original Standard and Mark I models, the Ruger Mark II is celebrated as one of the most successful and reliable .22 LR autoloading handguns in history. Improving upon the original 1949 platform, the Mark II introduced a last-round bolt hold-open mechanism, redesigned thumb safety catch, and smooth cylindrical receiver lockup. The 4.75-inch tapered barrel Standard model offers balanced weight distribution, classic pointability, and crisp single-action target performance.
This specific example is an authentic 1987-manufactured Ruger Mark II Standard bearing serial number 213-15756.
