Engineered around the Warsaw Pact's standard 9x18mm Makarov cartridge, the vz. 82 pioneered several advanced features rare in military handguns of its era, including true ambidextrous frame-mounted thumb safeties, an ambidextrous magazine release, and a high-capacity 12-round double-stack magazine feed. Most notably, the pistol features a fixed barrel w/ polygonal rifling—a bore design that increases velocity, eases cleaning, and extends barrel life significantly over traditional lands and grooves. Renowned for its robust steel construction and exceptional ergonomics, the vz. 82 remains one of the most mechanically sophisticated blowback pistols ever adopted by a military force. This specific example is an authentic Czech military vz. 82 pistol bearing matching serial number 202495. Verified by its sharp "she 94" right-frame stamping alongside the official Czech crossed-swords proof, this pistol was produced in 1994 at the Uherský Brod armory. Retaining its factory gloss black enamel finish over a heavy steel frame, it features a 3.8-inch polygonally rifled barrel, fixed 3-dot style sights, and ambidextrous controls paired w/ original black checkered synthetic grips.
