The Ruger P91DC is a full-size semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W, produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. as part of the company’s well-known P-Series line during the early 1990s. Introduced in 1992, the P91DC was designed as a rugged duty and service pistol, featuring a short-recoil, locked-breech operating system, an aluminum alloy frame, stainless steel slide, and a traditional double-action/single-action trigger system with a decocker-only control. The pistol uses an 11-round magazine, fixed three-dot sights, and a durable construction focused on reliability rather than lightweight carry. Built around Ruger’s reputation for producing extremely strong and dependable firearms, the P91DC was marketed toward law enforcement, military-style applications, and civilian defensive use during the rise of the .40 S&W cartridge.
