First introduced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. in 1985 to succeed the famous Security-Six line, the GP100 established itself as one of the strongest, most indestructible double-action revolvers ever built. Engineered around an extra-thick solid-steel frame with no sideplates, a patented triple-locking cylinder mechanism that locks into the frame at the front, rear, and bottom, and modular grip-peg geometry, the GP100 is purpose-built for continuous firing of full-power .357 Magnum loads.
Manufactured in 2010, this GP100 features a 4-inch full-underlug stainless steel barrel w/ anti-glare fine serrations along the top sight plane. Finished in a low-glare satin stainless polish, it comes equipped with a quick-interchangeable front ramp sight, micro-adjustable rear target sight, smooth DA/SA target hammer and trigger assembly, and a recoil-absorbing black rubber finger-groove grip bearing the Ruger eagle emblem.
