Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a single-action revolver manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co. in 2017, chambered in .357 Magnum and .38 Special. This example features a durable blued steel finish that gives the firearm a classic appearance while protecting it from everyday wear. It features a 4?-inch barrel, offering a traditional balance of handling and sight radius, plus a ramp front sight and an adjustable rear target sight for precise sight alignment, elevation, and windage. The revolver features black checkered hard rubber grips with Ruger’s distinctive silver eagle medallions, combining a secure grip with the manufacturer’s recognizable styling. The New Model Blackhawk series is known for its traditional single-action operation, robust construction, and Western-inspired design, making it popular among revolver enthusiasts, collectors, and recreational shooters. Chambering in .357 Magnum also allows the use of .38 Special ammunition in compatible, properly maintained examples, offering versatility across two widely used revolver cartridges. Identified by serial number 38-69182, this 2017-manufactured example combines classic revolver styling, adjustable sights, a practical grip design, and Ruger’s longstanding reputation for durable firearms. Its overall condition, mechanical integrity, originality, and the presence of the original box and accompanying documentation would be important considerations when determining its current collector or resale value.
