Built on a one-piece, precision CNC-machined stainless steel grip frame, this 44-ounce pistol utilizes a 10+1 capacity across two included 10-round magazines, creating a rigid and incredibly stable shooting platform. Its innovative internal cylindrical bolt construction ensures permanent sight-to-barrel alignment, contributing to higher accuracy potential than conventional moving-slide designs. Engineered for adaptability, the pistol features a natural-pointing grip angle outfitted with high-traction black/gray Pachmayr G10 tactical grips, while also including the original checkered laminate wood panels to suit individual shooter preferences. At the center of its performance is a 6.88-inch fluted bull barrel, cold hammer-forged with 6 grooves and a 1:16" right-hand twist to deliver exceptional accuracy, longevity, and balanced weight distribution. The accurate factory sighting system combines a high-visibility fiber-optic front sight with an adjustable rear sight, complemented by a drilled-and-tapped receiver ready for Weaver- or Picatinny-style optics rails. Ergonomics and handling remain a central focus throughout the satin stainless steel design, incorporating a smoothly contoured frame, an ergonomic bolt stop, easy-to-grasp bolt ears, and a contoured ejection port for flawless, reliable operation round after round. Routine maintenance is completely simplified by Ruger’s signature, one-button takedown system. A simple press of the recessed button on the back of the frame provides tool-less disassembly as the barrel-receiver assembly tilts up and off the frame, enabling quick, easy field-stripping and proper chamber-to-muzzle cleaning. Finally, robust safety features anchor the platform, including an ambidextrous manual safety that easily converts to left-side-only with an included washer, alongside an integrated magazine disconnect that prevents accidental discharge when the magazine is removed.
