The Beretta Model 84 is a compact, blowback-operated pistol chambered in .380 ACP and is the best-known member of Beretta’s Cheetah series. Built with an aluminum-alloy frame and a steel slide, it features a traditional double-action/single-action trigger, an exposed hammer, and a 13-round double-stack magazine that was exceptionally generous for a .380 pistol of its era. The fixed barrel design contributes to excellent inherent accuracy and soft, predictable recoil, while the pistol’s ergonomic grip and high-quality Italian craftsmanship have earned it a reputation for reliability and refined handling. Produced by Fabbrica d’Armi Pietro Beretta from the mid-1970s onward, the Model 84 remains one of the most respected and collectible classic .380 pistols ever made.
