The M1867 Russian Krnka was a breech-loading conversion of the muzzle-loading Model 1857 Six Line rifle-musket, designed by Austro-Hungarian arms maker Sylvester Krnka and adopted by the Russian Empire in 1869. Similar to contemporary conversions like the Snider-Enfield and Tabatiere, the Krnka was produced at the Tula armory (TOZ) in two main versions: infantry and cavalry rifles.
