The Century Arms Centurion Optio III is an ultra-affordable, tactical 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun built on a familiar AR-12 profile to bridge the gap between modern sporting rifle ergonomics and shotgun stopping power. Imported from Turkey for Century Arms, it operates on a smooth, gas-operated blowback action. The platform features a 20-inch smooth-bore barrel fed by a detachable 5-round box magazine, with an AR-style front sight post bolted to the barrel and a rear sight integrated into a classic, removable M16-style top carrying handle. It is built with a fixed polymer butt stock with an integrated adjustable cheek riser and a rubber recoil pad, bringing the total unloaded weight to roughly 7.5 pounds. To maximize utility for home defense and range plinking, the Optio III features standard AR-style controls (like the thumb safety and mag release), polymer Picatinny side rails for flashlights or lasers, and ships complete with a three-piece interchangeable choke kit (Cylinder, Modified, and Full).
