The Colt Automatic .25, most commonly referring to the Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket, is a small semi-automatic pistol designed by the legendary firearms inventor John Moses Browning and produced by Colt’s Manufacturing Companyin the early 20th century as a discreet, easily concealable personal defense weapon. Chambered in .25 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol), a cartridge also developed by Browning, the pistol was built around a simple blowback-operated mechanism that emphasized compactness and reliability over power.
