The Colt 4th Model Derringer is a distinctive, single-shot pocket pistol manufactured for Colt by Butler Firearms of New Haven, Connecticut, as part of their initial production run between 1959 and 1963. This line paid direct homage to the elegant concealed-carry arms of the 19th century—specifically the historic .41 rimfire Colt 3rd Model "Thuer" design. Chambered in the diminutive .22 Short cartridge, this model was introduced at the absolute peak of America's mid-century television Western craze.
