Produced by Colt's Manufacturing Company for Davidson's, this “El Señor” edition was based on the standard five-inch Government Model, not a revolver, making it a full-size single-action autoloading pistol chambered most commonly in .45 ACP. It retains the traditional short-recoil, tilting-barrel 1911 operating system along with hallmark controls such as the frame-mounted thumb safety, grip safety, slide stop, and crisp, straight-back single-action trigger that has made the Government Model famous for more than a century.
