The **Colt M45A1 USMC CQBP “decommissioned” pistols are among the rarest modern military Colts due to their limited production, specialized issuance, and extremely restricted release to the civilian market. Originally produced in relatively small numbers and issued primarily to elite Marine units such as Force Recon and MARSOC, these pistols saw a short service life before being phased out. Only a small number of true service-used, decommissioned examples were ever released commercially, making them far scarcer than standard production M45A1s. Their combination of authentic USMC service history and limited availability places them in a highly desirable category for advanced collectors seeking modern military-issued 1911s.
