The CZ 75 P-01 is a compact, alloy-framed 9×19mm pistol developed by CZ (Ceská zbrojovka) based on the legendary CZ 75 design. Introduced in the early 2000s, the P-01 was created as a modernized compact version of the CZ 75 platform, featuring a lightweight aluminum frame, an integrated accessory rail, and improved ergonomics while maintaining the proven accuracy and reliability of the original design. It was designed to meet the needs of military and law enforcement users, eventually receiving NATO certification after extensive testing for durability and reliability. The CZ 75 P-01 uses a traditional double-action/single-action trigger system with a decocker, allowing the pistol to be safely carried with a round chambered while providing a heavier first trigger pull followed by lighter single-action shots. It features a steel slide that rides inside the frame rails, a low bore axis that reduces muzzle rise, and a highly ergonomic grip shape that has become one of CZ's trademarks. With a 3.75-inch barrel, 14-round standard magazine capacity, and compact dimensions, the P-01 offers an excellent balance between concealability, controllability, and duty-grade performance.
