The DDM4 V7 is a premium, factory-built AR-15–pattern rifle produced by Daniel Defense and chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO / .223 Remington. It is built around the standard AR-15 operating system using a direct impingement, gas-operated, rotating bolt design, but refined with higher-end materials and tighter manufacturing standards than typical commercial rifles. The V7 features a 16-inch cold hammer–forged chrome-lined barrel, a mid-length gas system, and a free-floating M-LOK handguard, all designed to improve reliability, reduce recoil impulse, and maintain consistent accuracy under sustained use. The rifle is built on 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers, hard-coat anodized to military specifications, and typically ships with Daniel Defense furniture including a collapsible stock, pistol grip, and proprietary rail system depending on configuration. Most versions are optics-ready with no fixed sights, allowing users to configure their preferred sighting system.
