The Detonics Manufacturing Corporation ServiceMaster is a highly regarded, Commander-sized 1911-style pistol introduced in the 1980s as a larger, duty-oriented sibling to the company's famous subcompact Combat Master, which had previously revolutionized the firearms industry upon its 1976 debut. Chambered in .45 ACP with a 4.25-inch barrel, this single-action semi-automatic handgun stood out by integrating custom-grade design features directly from the factory. It paired a robust stainless steel construction—notable for its eye-catching contrast between finely polished slide flats and sand-blasted matte accent portions—with distinctive low-profile, fixed combat sights, a white dot front with dovetail square notch rear, an enlarged ejection port, and a hand-fitted, bushingless bull barrel that flared at the muzzle to self-center against the slide for superior inherent accuracy.
