The FN FS2000 Carbine is one of the most distinctive and innovative civilian rifles ever imported into the United States, serving as the semi-automatic counterpart to FN Herstal’s futuristic F2000 military rifle. Manufactured by FN Herstal in Belgium, the FS2000 is chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO and uses a gas-operated, rotating-bolt system housed in a compact bullpup configuration. By placing the action and magazine behind the trigger group, the FS2000 achieves an exceptionally short overall length while retaining a full-length barrel, providing excellent maneuverability without sacrificing ballistic performance. Perhaps the rifle's most remarkable feature is its unique forward-ejection system, which channels spent cases through an enclosed tube and ejects them from the front of the rifle, making the platform truly ambidextrous and eliminating the need for left- or right-handed configurations.
