Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Introduced in 1982 by Gaston Glock, the Glock 17 revolutionized global handgun design, establishing the polymer-framed, striker-fired sidearm as the modern standard for military, law enforcement, and civilian self-defense. The Fourth Generation (Gen 4) evolution introduced significant ergonomic and mechanical enhancements to the legendary platform—including an enlarged, reversible magazine catch, a dual recoil spring assembly designed to reduce felt recoil and extend spring life, and a rough-textured frame surface (RTF-4) featuring finger grooves and a Modular Backstrap System. Chambered in the ubiquitous 9mm Luger cartridge, the Glock 17 Gen 4 remains one of the world's most trusted, durable, and highly tested combat handguns. This clean example of the Glock 17 Gen 4 was manufactured in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria, bearing matching serial number "UHG093" across its slide, frame, and barrel. Chambered in 9mm Luger, it features a 4.49-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, factory white-dot sights, and an integral universal accessory rail. The pistol retains its original matte black gas nitride finish over an authentic Austrian-made polymer frame featuring Gen 4 texturing, finger grooves, and a reversible magazine release. Displaying minimal finish wear and clean internals, this Austrian Glock 17 Gen 4 offers a reliable, field-ready sidearm for duty, home defense, sport shooting, and modern firearm enthusiasts.
