The Glock 37 Gen4 is a full-size semi-automatic pistol produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H. and chambered in .45 GAP, a cartridge specifically developed to deliver .45-caliber performance in a frame size comparable to Glock’s standard 9mm and .40 S&W duty pistols. Designed as the flagship model in the .45 GAP lineup, the Glock 37 was intended for law-enforcement agencies and individual shooters who wanted the stopping power of .45-caliber handguns without the larger grip circumference often required by traditional .45 ACP pistols. It uses Glock’s proven short-recoil, locked-breech Safe Action striker-fired system, offering a consistent trigger pull, simple operation, and multiple passive internal safeties with minimal external controls. The Gen4 version introduced several key improvements over earlier generations, including the Modular Back Strap system that allows users to tailor grip size, a Rough Textured Frame for enhanced handling, and a dual recoil spring assembly designed to reduce felt recoil and improve longevity. Standard magazine capacity is typically 10 rounds, giving the pistol respectable service capacity while maintaining manageable dimensions. 
 
The 4.49-inch barrel and full-size slide provide a long sight radius, steady balance, and strong practical accuracy, while the polymer frame helps keep the weight lower than many traditional metal-framed .45-caliber pistols.
