The Heritage Rough Rider is a modern American-made single-action revolver designed to closely resemble the classic Colt Single Action Army but chambered in the inexpensive and widely available .22 LR and .22 WMR rimfire cartridges. Manufactured by Heritage Manufacturing in Florida, it is built primarily as a budget-friendly plinking and training revolver, giving shooters the traditional “cowboy gun” experience at a very low cost. Mechanically, it uses a simple single-action-only design, meaning the hammer must be manually cocked for every shot, rotating the cylinder and preparing the firing mechanism in a traditional four-click sequence.
