The Hopkins & Allen Model 32 is a traditional muzzleloading rifle produced by Hopkins & Allen Arms Company, reflecting the company’s continued role in manufacturing black powder firearms during a transitional period when older ignition systems were still in use alongside emerging cartridge technology. This rifle is a single-shot muzzleloader, typically configured with a percussion ignition system in which a small cap placed on a nipple is struck by the hammer to ignite the main powder charge.
