The James River Armory Gallant Gen2 (UPC: 860001289077) is a semi-automatic, 5.56x45mm NATO rifle constructed to preserve the historic legacy of the classic Israeli Galil AR/ARM series. Proudly built by James River Armory—a manufacturer known for resurrecting iconic military surplus configurations—this rifle is assembled using original, high-grade military parts kits sourced from demilitarized IMI service rifles. The heart of the platform is a newly manufactured, American-made Gen2 CNC billet steel receiver. It is precision-machined with classic Galil-style lightening cuts, an authentic left-side dovetail scope mounting notch, and an original-pattern right-side safety lever mechanically tied to a modified left-side thumb selector. To mirror original battlefield specifications, this heat-treated receiver features a unique "Sword through the Star of David" crest engraved on the side. Feeding this rugged receiver is a new U.S.-made 18-inch nitrided barrel using a military-standard 1:7" twist rate, equipped with standard muzzle threading, a Galil-style compensator, and an integrated bayonet lug. For optimal handling and versatility, the exterior features a classic black polymer handguard, an ergonomic Phoenix Technology pistol grip, and a tight-locking tubular steel paratrooper side-folding stock. To comply with federal 18 U.S.C. 922(r) regulations right out of the box, each rifle ships from the factory with a single 30-round Tapco polymer magazine; it readily accepts original 35-round Israeli steel surplus magazines.
