The Kimber Classic Stainless Gold Match is a premium full-size 1911-pattern semi-automatic pistol built to emphasize target-grade accuracy, refined fit and finish, and traditional styling, making it one of the most recognized higher-end Kimber models of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Produced by Kimber during the period when the company was rapidly gaining a strong reputation in the 1911 market, the Classic Stainless Gold Match was designed as a competition-ready and enthusiast-focused pistol that combined match features with elegant stainless-steel construction. Chambered most commonly in .45 ACP, though some examples were also offered in other calibers, the pistol uses the classic short-recoil, tilting-barrel 1911 operating system with a single-action trigger, a frame-mounted thumb safety, a grip safety, and a single-stack magazine typically holding seven or eight rounds.
