This Kimber Factory Letter documents a Kimber Custom II (116BCT) pistol, identified by the highly significant serial number SW116TH000. Chambered in .45 ACP, this model features a 5-inch barrel, a matte black finish, and wood grips featuring 116th Mobile Brigade Combat Team Emblems. The document highlights the firearm's historical importance as Serial Number One of a special edition series, a designation reserved for the inaugural example of a limited production run. Historically, these inaugural pieces were not released to the public but were instead retained within the private collection of Kimber's founder and owner, Leslie Edelman. The letter, signed by Edelman and dated February 6, 2026, confirms its release from the Kimber Vault for delivery to Bryant Ridge Co. in Liberty, Kentucky.
