This Kimber Factory Letter documents a Kimber Diamond Ultra II pistol, identified by the highly significant serial number KDU0000. Chambered in .45 ACP, this compact firearm features a 3-inch barrel, a Matte Stainless/Polished Stainless finish, and Aluminum grips. The document highlights the firearm's historical importance as the very first serialized unit produced within its standard production line, marking the official beginning of that model's manufacturing history. As is common for inaugural examples, this "Serial Number One" pistol was originally held in the private collection of Kimber's founder and owner, Leslie Edelman.
