The Marlin Model 93—produced under this simplified designation from roughly 1921 until 1935—stands as the definitive evolution of L.L. Hepburn's iconic side-ejecting, solid-top receiver mechanism. Stemming corporate restructuring into the Marlin Firearms Corporation, the model dropped the original "Model 1893" roll-stamp but retained the highly reliable, closed action that redirected spent casings safely out the right side to shield the shooter's line of sight.
